The social climate we need will elevate and draw strength from tackling pressing interconnected issues such as economic fairness, and health, education, and justice, equity. These are mutually reinforcing threads for the social trust, humanity, mutuality, and agency that living on a fragile earth especially demands.
Effectively connecting and strengthening these threads has been hard to do at both political and community levels. Working closely with neighborhoods to achieve specific aims is the only way to learn and improve how to do that as a new normal.
A plan to launch SCS to do that work and share that learning is under development. This will be a stipend-based residency for academic faculty, but also anyone with leadership roles in related organizations, activism, and policymaking, who want to innovative and apply and shape evidence and knowledge to drive measurable social climate change in a specific community.
Applications to be a Scholar will be posted soon. In the interim, interest should be directed to email@example.com
